The London Grand Tournament, LGT Presents or simply The LGT is a tabletop wargaming convention that is centered around organised play.
Originally conceived in a pub late one cold winter night, the LGT has grown from a Warhammer 40k tournament to a multi-system wargamming convention, including additional events across all aspects of the wargamming hobby, including Grand Tournaments and Narrative Campaigns across 10+ game systems.
Information on the LGT and the tournaments can be found throughout this website and remember to sign up to our mailing list to keep up to date with all the important announcements.
Over 100 hobbyists attended in our inaugral year, 2016, with 88 taking to the table tops to take battle it out for the LGT Shield. In 2017 we grew massively and sold over 200 tickets to 40k, 30k and spectators alike. In 2018 we struggled with growing pains as the event skyrocketed to 400+ 40k players and a total convention attendance of over 800 gamers.
As a result in 2019 we refocused on the core of what the LGT is all about, running really good, massive tournaments where the gaming community can gather to eat, drink and be merry. This was a resounding success and in 2020 we unfortunately had a fallow year due to Covid-19.
2021 was our most successful year to date until 2022 when we smashed it out of the park by fianlly nailing the carering aspects of the event. As 2022 was a sell out year, we expect 2023 to be likewise and we encourage everyone to get their tickets early to avoid dissapointment.
You can find all the pictures from past events, In the different galleries on our Facebook.
It is our mission to provide a home for the largest tournaments in the world. This is the aspiration that drives us and with your help we can make it happen.
